The tenth edition of a free community gathering in Uckfield has been celebrated as a major achievement after attracting large crowds for a full day of entertainment and festivities.

Saturday’s event at Luxford Field showcased an extensive programme of live performances, trading stalls and interactive experiences suitable for visitors of all ages.

Early figures indicated that attendance levels this year ranked among the highest since the annual celebration began, with sunny conditions and a diverse timetable contributing to the strong turnout.

A representative from Uckfield Town Council described the collective effort behind the gathering, acknowledging the contributions of unpaid helpers, elected members, council employees, nearby enterprises and neighbourhood residents whose involvement helped create the vibrant atmosphere.

Performers at this anniversary occasion included The Kavemen as the main attraction, alongside The Tannens, Pentacle Drummers, The Kytes, Dominic Uppiah, VENN5 and The Midnight Project, delivering a variety of musical styles throughout the afternoon and evening.

Families with children were treated to an appearance from Poppet, the violet character associated with The Big One Hundred, who proved particularly popular among the younger audience members.

Beyond the musical entertainment, attendees had access to numerous catering options, artisan crafts and activities designed to engage all age groups throughout the venue.
