Two men have been handed prison terms after being convicted of supplying class A narcotics across West Sussex.

Ryan Bennett-Morris, aged 27, and Alexander Lockhart, aged 46, managed the KY Line operation, which distributed heroin and cocaine throughout the county.

Officers from the police service executed search warrants at two properties in Worthing, leading to the arrest of both individuals.

Bennett-Morris attempted to escape but was apprehended at the location where investigators subsequently discovered packaged class A narcotics.

Court proceedings were informed that Lockhart functioned as a courier for Bennett-Morris, assisting in the running of the distribution network.

At Lewes Crown Court on August 18, Bennett-Morris, whose address was listed as Byron Avenue in Coulsdon, Croydon, entered guilty pleas to charges of involvement in supplying heroin and cocaine between August 2025 and June 2026, alongside counts of possessing both substances with intent to supply.

Lockhart, residing at Tarring Road in Worthing, admitted responsibility for involvement in supplying heroin and cocaine.

Bennett-Morris was ordered to serve three and a half years of a custodial sentence.

Lockhart was sentenced to three years imprisonment suspended for the same period, together with a requirement to undergo nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment and complete 20 rehabilitation activity sessions.

Detective Inspector Antony Preston stated that the case involved a substantial volume of cocaine and heroin being distributed into West Sussex.

Officers collaborated with partner law enforcement agencies, including the Metropolitan Police, to compile comprehensive evidence regarding the pair’s participation in the KY Line operation.

The investigation demonstrated a commitment to interrupting the flow of class A drugs that cause considerable damage to local communities and to bringing those responsible before the courts.
