The Connaught Cinema in Worthing has announced a special screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show following the death of actor Tim Curry.

Curry passed away on August 25, coinciding with the death of country music legend Dolly Parton.

The independent cinema, located in the West Sussex town, confirmed via social media on August 26 that the cult musical would be shown on November 21.

The 1975 film, directed by Jim Sharman, features Curry in the role of eccentric scientist Frank-N-Furter.

The production is recognised for its signature musical numbers, including Sweet Transvestite and The Time Warp.

The venue, which operates under Worthing Borough Council and forms part of the Worthing Theatres and Museum organisation, is hosting a sing-along presentation of the movie.

Attendees will receive complimentary goody bags containing items suitable for an interactive viewing experience.

Competitions will also be held to award prizes for audience members with the most elaborate costumes, with the venue encouraging guests to adopt an unconventional aesthetic.

The screening is scheduled to commence at 7.45pm.

Admission begins at £15.50 per person, with an additional 75 pence transaction charge applied to bookings.

The film received an original classification of 12A; however, the cinema has designated the showing for audience members aged 15 and above.

Proof of age identification is required for entry.
