A programme dedicated to redistributing unwanted art supplies has broadened its reach beyond London.

ArtCycl operates as a community initiative for donating and reselling art materials, managed by Jackson’s.

Following an initial twelve-month period at the Dalston location in the capital, the scheme has extended to branches in Hove, Stroud and Gloucester.

Participants are invited to contribute art supplies they no longer require.

These items undergo sorting before being offered for sale at significantly reduced rates or distributed to charitable partners, educational institutions and community creative groups.

Nathalie Kowal, who manages the Dalston store, noted that the initiative had resonated strongly with customers, establishing an accessible route for artists to pass on surplus materials while simultaneously enabling others to obtain affordable resources.

She added that the expansion to additional Jackson’s outlets had generated considerable satisfaction, extending the programme’s accessibility to a wider population.

The initiative aims to divert reusable materials from landfills while improving access to art supplies for those facing financial constraints.

Revenue generated supports Arts for Dementia, an organization delivering meaningful artistic engagement for individuals affected by dementia and their families.

Contributions are welcomed at Jackson’s locations in Hove, Stroud and Gloucester.
