The premises of a legendary burger restaurant is available to rent.
Located at 62 Western Road in Hove, the site was once home to Grubbs Burgers, the last outlet of the iconic Brighton fast-food chain.
The long standing burger restaurant closed its doors in November last year after 46 years in business.
A sign left in the window thanked customers for their support, reading: “Thank you for 50 years of your custom. Grubbs will always belong to Brighton.”
A large “thank you” and heart, spelt out in napkins, also appearing in the window following the closure.

Grubbs Burgers first opened in 1979 and grew into a staple of the Brighton food scene.
In 2021, the company sold its outlets on York Place, St James’s Street, and Lewes Road, leaving the original Western Road site as its final location.
Timothy Davies, the former owner of Grubbs, died on May 28, 2024, while on holiday in Spain.
The property is now being marketed by commercial agents Graves Son and Pilcher at a rent of £2,083 per month, or £25,000 per year.
The agents described the premises as offering a “well-presented ground floor trading area with wood panelled flooring, LED lighting, prominent glazed shop front and a fully fitted commercial kitchen to the rear.”

Located on the south side of Western Road, the property sits in a busy area surrounded by independent traders, national retailers, cafes, and restaurants, just 0.2 miles from the seafront and close to Palmeira Square, Graves Son and Pilcher adds.
The premises are available on a new full repairing and insuring lease, with terms to be agreed and rent reviews at appropriate intervals.
