Brighton Charity Sees Donation Surge After Packaging Makeover

Published on

An organization was surprised with an unplanned contribution consisting of 20 pallets of facial tissues and one pallet of adhesive bandages.

Medi Tech Trust, located in Hailsham, was presented with these items after a manufacturer chose to overhaul its product packaging, which left the distributor with merchandise that could no longer be offered for sale.

The business, hoping to clear out their storage facility, notified the nonprofit that shipments would arrive during the previous week.

Rather than the expected 20 boxes, there were 20 pallets of tissues and a pallet of plasters delivered.

The organization spent the majority of the day transporting the shipments into their warehouse.

Distribution of the items has commenced, with an educational institution in Herstmonceaux and Hailsham along with Eastbourne Foodbanks already obtaining supplies.

Additional food banks, baby banks, community centers, educational institutions and colleges are expected to receive benefits throughout this week.

Medi Tech Trust, which maintains communication with many worthy causes throughout East Sussex, Brighton and Hove, will be coordinating additional deliveries.

The charity is encouraging any other charitable or nonprofit organizations that might utilize the donation to reach out to them.

Individuals may make contact by sending an email to enquiries@meditechtrust.org.
