The pioneering synth-pop outfit Heaven 17 will take to the stage at Bexhill’s De La Warr Pavilion during the autumn season.

Their appearance is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026, serving as part of commemorations for their 45th anniversary and their trailblazing first record, Penthouse and Pavement.

The record, which emerged in September 1981, climbed to position 14 on the British Albums Chart and secured gold status in 1982.

Martyn Ware, a founding member of Heaven 17, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming tour, stating that it would celebrate the profound influence Penthouse and Pavement had on a generation passionate about electronic funk music.

The ensemble will showcase tracks from the album, which has been recognised as a foundational work in early synthesiser music and included in the publication 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

The group is particularly famed for their chart-topping single Temptation, which reached number two on the British charts in 1983 and number four with a remix version in 1992.

Heaven 17 maintains a devoted following, spanning longtime supporters to younger audiences who have recently discovered their sound.

General ticket availability for the Bexhill concert begins on Friday, May 1 at 10am.

Members of the De La Warr Pavilion can access advance purchasing from Thursday, April 30 at 10am.
