New café seeks approval to sell alcohol seven days a week

A venue is pursuing authorisation to dispense alcoholic beverages.

The establishment in question is Hearth Cafe & Garden situated on Portland Road in Hove, which has lodged an application for a premises licence.

Should the request receive approval, the venue would be permitted to serve alcoholic drinks between 8am and 10pm on Tuesdays through Saturdays, with Sunday trading limited to the hours of 9.30am until 6pm.

The application was filed by Rhian Jenkins and officially published on April 28.

Anyone wishing to submit an objection or comment must provide a concise written explanation of their reasoning to the Environmental Health and Licensing department of Brighton and Hove City Council.

All representations must be received by May 5.

The application records are available for public inspection at Hove Town Hall and via the Brighton and Hove City Council website.

The notice advises that providing inaccurate information in connection with this application constitutes a criminal offence carrying an unlimited financial penalty.
