Fresh success has come to additional neighbourhoods across Sussex following April’s People’s Postcode Lottery draw, with multiple areas securing wins last month.

The People’s Postcode Lottery operates as a membership-based game, with the goal of generating funds for charitable organisations while simultaneously offering monetary rewards to households throughout Britain.

Monday through Friday brings daily opportunities to claim £1,000 awards across twenty separate postcodes nationwide.

Saturday draws present the chance to divide £1 million among participants, while Sunday draws award £30,000 to each victorious player.

Daily announcements of winning postcodes began on April 4 and have continued throughout the month.

How does the People’s Postcode Lottery work?

The People’s Postcode Lottery website provides a breakdown of the competition’s mechanics.

According to the website, every month, players in a postcode sector share £3.2 million or more. In this example, £1.6 million of this will be shared equally by tickets playing with the winning postcode, with the other £1.6 million being shared equally by tickets playing with the winning postcode sector. On the rare occasion where there are not enough winning tickets in the postcode sector, the area may be expanded to the postcode district.

At least one-third of every ticket purchase is directed toward charitable causes, and participants have collectively contributed exceeding £1.3 billion to more than 9,000 charitable organisations and worthy initiatives since 2005.
