A new wine and cocktail establishment is preparing to launch in a Sussex town.

Love You, Bye will debut at 21 Piries Place in Horsham, occupying the premises formerly held by D’Arcy’s Wine Bar, which ceased trading earlier this year.

The venue is anticipated to welcome its first customers in May.

According to the bar’s online presence, it aims to deliver expertly prepared cocktails alongside a lively yet approachable ambiance.

The website emphasises that the concept is founded on vibrant energy, bold characters, and a conviction that an evening out should never feel routine. It notes that while the team maintains high standards for what it serves, it avoids taking itself too seriously, promising quality without stuffiness. The staff are described as adept at reading the mood, whether visitors are stopping by for a casual catch-up, celebrating something special, or simply enjoying an unplanned evening.

The venue will be operated by individuals who already possess considerable experience in the Horsham hospitality sector. India De Silva, who runs the local Wolfpack café, is among those involved, alongside general manager Dawn Hinton, who is joining from The Red Deer pub.

The bar’s opening hours will see it operate on Mondays and Tuesdays for what it terms Adulting sessions, while Wednesdays and Thursdays will run from noon until 11pm. It will also open on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight, with Sunday trading concluding at 6pm.

D’Arcy’s had revealed in January that it would be shutting its doors after operating for just a year and a half. Its proprietors indicated at the time that while they were disappointed to close, maintaining a viable business had proved challenging under current conditions.
