Beachfront tapas restaurant shares its official opening day

A fresh dining venue is set to welcome guests along the seafront following a brief postponement.

La Vida Tapas, situated at 1A West Lodge on The Esplanade in Bognor, will commence operations on May 8.

The establishment had originally aimed for an April launch, though organisers explained that preparations required additional time beyond initial expectations.

In an online statement, the venue’s operators noted that public reaction had been overwhelming and thanked everyone for their interest and backing.

They mentioned that as opening day approaches, they request customers’ patience during the initial days while the team settles into their routine, particularly given the substantial number of reservations and enquiries coming in.

The staff will be striving to provide every visitor with an excellent experience and are eager to open their doors and mark the occasion alongside patrons.

They concluded by thanking supporters for their understanding and looking forward to greeting everyone shortly.

The premises were formerly home to The Landing Place, another restaurant that shut down due to health concerns.

La Vida’s online platform promotes the new endeavour as a destination transcending mere dining, describing it as a space where cuisine, heritage, and community converge.

The description continues that whether patrons are sampling small plates with companions, having a leisurely dinner, or marking a particular occasion, they will discover authentic Spanish atmosphere throughout.

Social media users have responded with enthusiasm to the news.

Nicki Henry-Hines expressed her tremendous excitement about the venture.

Carole Druce offered congratulations, hoping the launch evening proceeds smoothly.

She extended best wishes for future achievements and mentioned her intention to visit soon, eagerly anticipating the experience.

The venue is currently accepting reservations, with dining options viewable through its website.
