City supermarket to apply for variation to premises licence

A store is set to apply for a variation to its premises licence.

Co-operative Group Food Ltd in Lewes Road, Brighton, intends to submit the application to Brighton and Hove City Council.

The application seeks an amendment to the premises plan for the Co-op located at 58–62 Lewes Road, Brighton, BN2 3HW.

The details of the proposed changes to the store have not been disclosed in the notice.

Those wishing to object to the variation have until May 19 to submit their concerns.

Objections can be sent to EHL.licensing@brighton-hove.gov.uk or addressed to the Regulatory Services Manager, Regulatory Services, Environmental Health and Licensing, at Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove, BN3 3BQ.

The register and records of applications can be viewed at the council office during normal working hours, with summaries available on the Brighton and Hove City Council website.

It is a criminal offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application, carrying a maximum penalty of an unlimited fine on summary conviction.
