A collection of touring vehicles have appeared on a coastal grass area in the town.

Images captured today (July 5) display numerous units positioned at Goring Gap along the Worthing seafront.

Sources indicate they set up on the grass this morning.

This follows a previous unapproved stopping place at Highdown Recreation Ground in Worthing, which received a departure notice from West Sussex County Council on June 29.

By that date, records showed nine touring vehicles and a motorhome. Pictures taken on July 2 revealed the Highdown site had grown to roughly 25 touring vehicles, more than doubling the previous count.

Representatives for West Sussex County Council and Sussex Police have been asked to respond.
