Emergency services responded to a crash involving a bus and a car on the A285 at Halnaker near Chichester on the afternoon of July 6.

One individual required hospital treatment after the collision, which happened at approximately 5.30pm.

The road experienced partial closures while emergency services managed the scene.

Stagecoach operated the bus involved in the incident.

One person was transported to hospital with injuries sustained in the crash.

Officers attended the location and confirmed that one individual sustained injuries.

According to Sussex Police, a report was received regarding a crash between a bus and a car shortly after 5.30pm on Monday, July 6 at the junction of New Road and Staine Street in Chichester. One injury was reported to police.

Representatives from South East Coast Ambulance Service advised that West Sussex Fire and Rescue contacted them about a road traffic collision involving a car and a bus near Staine Street in Chichester shortly after 6pm on July 6. Paramedics assessed and treated one patient for injuries before transferring them to St Richard’s Hospital for additional care.

A spokesperson for Stagecoach stated that an incident occurred at approximately 5.40pm on July 6 involving one of their buses and another vehicle. Emergency services were present at the location, and the company expressed appreciation for their prompt and professional assistance. Stagecoach is providing full cooperation to emergency services and relevant local authorities as investigations proceed.
