Páramo sponsors Bewl Water Run Series to support Search Dogs Sussex

A Wadhurst-based outdoor clothing company has become a sponsor for a series of running events taking place next year while simultaneously raising money for a volunteer canine search organisation.

Paramo has agreed to support the 2026 Bewl Water Run Series, an event managed by Hermes Running.

The races are scheduled to be held at Bewl Water on September 12.

In addition to sponsoring the event, the company is also raising funds for Search Dogs Sussex, a voluntary organisation that supplies trained dog units to Sussex Police for locating vulnerable individuals who have gone missing.

Christine Levick, the store manager at Paramo in Wadhurst, expressed enthusiasm about supporting an initiative that draws participants and spectators to the locality while promoting outdoor activity in the surrounding natural environment.

She noted that as a company with strong ties to the community, contributing to Search Dogs Sussex’s fundraising efforts was particularly meaningful.

Competitors in the 2026 series will have the opportunity to take part in distances including a 10-kilometre race, half marathon, full marathon and a 50-kilometre ultramarathon.

Participants registered for the event can obtain a 20 percent discount at the Paramo Wadhurst store between September 12 and October 12, 2026, upon presentation of their race entry confirmation.

David Ross, race director for Hermes Running, stated that partnering with Paramo was welcome news.

He acknowledged the value of backing from an established business operating in the local area and indicated anticipation for collaborative efforts aimed at delivering a successful Bewl Water Run Series.
