Details have emerged regarding a new retail outlet for a premium lifestyle and beauty company.

Rituals Cosmetics has secured approval for signage at premises located at 4 South Street in Chichester.

The application sought permission for updated signage and exterior refurbishment works.

The building’s facade will be finished in black paint, with lettering in white and brass tones that will not be illuminated.

The ground level of the establishment will accommodate retail selling space, while the lower level beneath will house employee amenities and stock storage areas.

Prior to this occupation, the site housed an outdoor equipment retailer, which subsequently traded under a different fascia before closure.

Both the former businesses formed part of the JD Sports group portfolio.

The company has confirmed that trading at the Chichester location will commence on October 14.

According to planning documentation filed on behalf of the cosmetics firm, the outlet would provide a personal shopping service for customers seeking additional guidance.

A central till area would handle transactions and general enquiries, while portable card payment terminals would enable staff to process sales and assist customers anywhere within the shop floor.

The enterprise originated in Amsterdam in the year 2000 and currently operates more than 1,400 locations internationally across 33 nations.

The brand commands a substantial online following in the millions and stocks over 800 distinct product lines.

Additional branches can be found at Churchill Square in Brighton and The Beacon centre in Eastbourne.
