Sussex Police have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses following a collision between an e-scooter and an elderly woman in Worthing town centre.
The incident occurred on the evening of July 15 at approximately 10pm in Chapel Road.
An e-scooter travelling with two occupants was involved in the collision with the 74-year-old woman, according to police statements.
The victim sustained injuries during the incident.
The e-scooter operator failed to remain at the scene and proceeded in the direction of the seafront, officers reported.
Detectives are working to establish the identities of both the rider and the passenger.
A video recording of the event has been circulated by investigators in the hope that members of the public may recognise the individuals shown.
The footage depicts the e-scooter striking the woman at speed as she makes her way across the roadway.
The recording subsequently appears to show the victim on the ground while an individual, apparently having stepped off the vehicle, pursues the e-scooter before it departs the area.
Both men are understood to be in their twenties.
The rider was reported to have been wearing a black shirt bearing white text, along with dark trousers and footwear.
The passenger was described as dressed in a black hoodie, trousers and either flip-flops or sandals.
Individuals with any knowledge of the collision, including those who may possess relevant CCTV footage, doorbell camera recordings or dashcam material, have been asked to get in touch with Sussex Police through their online reporting system or by telephoning 101 and referencing serial number 1986 dated 15/07.
