A collectible toy retailer has launched its inaugural store in Sussex.
Pop Mart, the Beijing-based company renowned for its mystery-box designer figurines and beloved Labubu characters, has opened a permanent retail outlet at Churchill Square in Brighton.
The new premises became operational on September 26, occupying the space previously held by H&M Kids.
Hints about the arrival had circulated earlier in the year when branded barriers were erected around the unit.
Prior to the permanent store opening, a Pop Mart automated kiosk, branded as a Robo Shop, was positioned at The Entertainer within the shopping centre during March, providing customers with access to mystery-box products.
The company has cultivated an extensive following through social media platforms and high-profile celebrity associations.
Established in 2010, the firm has been recognised by the Financial Times as pioneering the designer toy market segment.
Its signature Labubu dolls, characterised by their plush monster designs, have become popular as keychain and accessory items.
Prominent figures such as Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa, and Rihanna have been seen incorporating the brand’s distinctive bag charms into their personal style.
The Brighton establishment represents the company’s first comprehensive retail footprint in Sussex, complementing existing locations across London, Southampton, Reading, and Cambridge.
