A Ukrainian man has been expelled from the United Kingdom after serving a prison sentence for orchestrating crossings of migrants across the English Channel.
Vladyslav Cherniavovskyi, aged 38, received a six-year custodial term in March after pleading guilty to three charges of facilitating illegal immigration.
Official records confirm his removal from British territory occurred during September.
The operation centred on a sailing vessel named Uforia, which transported individuals from the northern French coastline into Chichester Harbour.
Authorities intercepted the yacht approximately four nautical miles offshore near Chichester on 20 July 2025.
Officers from UK Border Force discovered several Albanian nationals alongside a Vietnamese female minor aboard the vessel.
Evidence captured at Itchenor, situated within the Chichester area, depicted six individuals carrying backpacks disembarking from the vessel in August 2024 and proceeding toward the surrounding settlement.
Cherniavovskyi faced sentencing alongside his co-conspirator Oleksandr Yavtushenko, aged 43.
Court proceedings revealed that the pair demanded payments reaching 15,000 euros from each migrant undertaking the journey.
The service allegedly operated as an exclusive operation, typically transporting between three and six individuals per voyage across the Channel.
Julian Harriman, the senior investigator assigned to the case through the National Crime Agency, stated that the offenders managed what amounted to a regular transport enterprise while extracting substantial fees from vulnerable passengers.
Collaborative efforts with French law enforcement agencies enabled authorities to disrupt the criminal venture entirely.
