A large crowd of participants filled the streets of a local town this morning.

Around 4,000 individuals have registered for Worthing’s Runfest, which marks its tenth anniversary this year.

The half marathon began along the seaside near Worthing Pier at 9.30am, with two additional events scheduled to follow. The 10k race is slated to begin at 11.10am, and the family mile will commence at 11.45am.

Prior to the occasion, planners promoted 2026 as potentially the most significant edition since the event’s inception and noted it appears set to become Worthing’s largest single-day charitable fundraiser.

A celebration will take place afterward at Beach House Grounds.
