Serious injuries after Brighton pedestrian incident

A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a road collision in West Sussex.

Officers from Sussex Police are investigating the crash that happened on Loxwood Road in Plaistow in the Chichester district at around 12pm on 2 May, when a car struck the walker.

A 74-year-old local woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

Sergeant Mark Miller said police are reviewing the circumstances of this serious incident, which involved a green BMW Z convertible.

He appealed for anyone who saw the car being driven prior to the collision to come forward.

Those with relevant information, including any CCTV or dashcam recordings, were asked to get in touch by calling 101 or sending an email to collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting reference 666 of 02/05.
