Community choir now accepting singers of all levels

A fresh community vocal group called The Choir Starters is welcoming locals to participate in its inaugural weekly rehearsal.

The Choir Starters, under the direction of professional musician Brett Wellcome, brings together local music lovers for their debut recurring practice session on Monday, April 27.

The group comprises four participants from an earlier beloved Worthing community choir, which originally launched as The Brooksteed Singers in January 2019 and performed its final show as The Choir Starters in August of last year.

After difficulty locating a choir offering a comparable atmosphere on a suitable day, they chose to begin again, preserving the same name while moving to a different location and welcoming new leadership.

Following a well-received opening event on April 20, the ensemble offers a laid-back, welcoming environment for adults regardless of vocal experience, with no tryouts needed.

Participants will get to perform a variety of current and popular tracks while forming connections and developing self-assurance.

The Choir Starters gathers each Monday throughout the academic term from 7.45pm to 9.15pm at AudioActive on Montague Street.

Additional members are encouraged to join, with a limited Early Joiner deal accessible for those registering by April 28.
