The terraces of a historic fortress have been adorned with blooms as a well-known tulip celebration comes back to the area.
More than 250 containers filled with flowers are presently exhibited throughout the property and gardens of Arundel Castle, marking the venue’s yearly tulip event.
On display are red tulip types such as Ile de France, Oxford and Apeldoorn, which blanket the castle terraces.
Purple Dream, Burgundy and Golden Oxford tulips have additionally been planted, and towering blue camassia stalks have started to bloom alongside the primary exhibits.
Those visiting the Wild Flower Garden and Cut Flower Garden within the castle’s grounds can view layered colorful arrangements, with the latter featuring over 20 distinct named tulip varieties.
Passes are sold for garden-only access, and bundle tickets are provided for entry to the castle and private chambers.
Arundel Castle was first constructed by the Earl of Arundel upwards of nine centuries past, and was subsequently renovated by the 11th Duke of Norfolk during the 1700s and early 1800s.
The property’s 38-acre gardens previously received the Historic Houses Garden of the Year Award in 2025.
