The team behind a central city venue has announced an extensive schedule of performances for the coming year.
SpiegelGardens will take place at a new, expanded site in Brighton’s Victoria Gardens as part of the Brighton Fringe festival running from May 1st through 3rd.
The festival headquarters will present a blend of internationally acclaimed award-winning shows, innovative cabaret, circus theater, and family-friendly entertainment throughout Brighton.
Spiegeltent and its companion venue, the WundaBarn, will both return to feature both international touring productions and local artists.
This year’s featured attractions encompass performances from Edinburgh and other global locations, a fresh queer-focused production created in association with Marlborough Productions, a varied entertainment selection, and a new charitable collaboration.
A launch celebration on May 1st will include a DJ performance by OLUGBENGA from Metronomy, followed by festivities continuing into the night at the Spiegelpub.
The lineup also includes the comeback of An Evening Without Kate Bush, which sold out its Brighton run and found success at Adelaide Fringe, along with festival favorites Police Cops presenting their popular comedy The Original, marking its tenth anniversary of touring.
Through its partnership with Marlborough Productions, SpiegelGardens maintains its dedication to queer performance with a new work commissioned from Brighton artist Alex Fincher.
Additional performers scheduled include Bourgeois and Maurice, David Hoyle, Boogaloo Stu, and recipients of Brighton Fringe 2025 honors Chocolate Box Theatre for C’est Magnifique and Lost Hippo for Guess Boo.
SpiegelGardens will present a Family Fun Day on the festival’s initial Saturday, offering complimentary activities such as stilt walking and face painting.
As darkness approaches, the schedule transitions to comedy, cabaret, and interactive experiences, featuring Not Another Quiz Night compèred by Jake Bhardwaj, and shows from the internationally recognized magician and comic Pete Heat.
For next year, SpiegelGardens has teamed up with Stay Up Late’s Gig Buddies to help individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people access live music, evening entertainment, and cultural activities.
