An investigation has been launched after a man sustained a partial ear amputation during an assault at a railway station car park.

The incident occurred in the car park at Chichester railway station in West Sussex at approximately 7.20pm on Friday, 26 June.

British Transport Police confirmed that a man was attacked by two individuals in what officers described as an unprovoked assault.

During the confrontation, one of the assailants bit off part of the victim’s earlobe.

Members of the public intervened and the victim was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers have released images of two men they believe may have information that could assist their investigation.
