Emergency services responded to an incident in Saltdean on Thursday evening.
Multiple police vehicles and ambulances were observed on the A259 road from approximately 5.45pm.
Unmarked police cars were among the emergency vehicles present at the scene.
The operation occurred near the location where a man died after falling from cliffs in the area on October 15.
Sussex Police confirmed that officers attended following reports of a medical emergency involving a member of the public.
The individual, a man in his thirties, was identified by authorities.
Emergency personnel provided treatment at the scene, however the man was pronounced dead at the location.
The death has been classified as non-suspicious by police.
Force representatives stated that the Thursday evening response was entirely unrelated to the earlier cliff fall incident that occurred the previous night.
Additional information is anticipated to be released as the investigation progresses.
