Brighton landmarks and businesses feature in British Vogue photoshoot

Published on

Brighton landmarks and local businesses have been featured in British Vogue, with the October edition presenting a photographic series titled Brighton Breezy.

The pictures were taken by Toby Coulson and included locations throughout the city.

Models Victoria Fawole and Jiahui Zhang were photographed at the beach, in North Laine, at Palace Pier and at The Grand Hotel.

The shoot also featured Snoopers Paradise in Kensington Gardens, Heart in Hand on North Road and Starfish Vintage Clothing on Gardner Street.

Snoopers Paradise marked the magazine’s feature with a social media post.

A spokeswoman for the store said that appearing in British Vogue was particularly special because the team had been welcomed into the shop for the shoot.

She noted that the business has been part of Brighton for 35 years and has attracted a diverse range of people, objects and ideas.

The store has previously appeared in the magazine, but the latest feature provided another opportunity to show its spaces and collections in a creative setting.

The Grand also issued a statement on social media.

The hotel said it takes pride in contributing to projects that celebrate Brighton, describing itself as closely connected to the city’s history and identity.

It said editorial features of this kind highlight local businesses, community and character while encouraging visitors to explore what the city offers.

The project was presented as a relaxed and free-thinking fashion project combining vintage discoveries with runway pieces and a street-smart style.

The clothing featured pieces from Balmain, Burberry, Chanel, Chloe, Erdem, Fendi and other designers.
