Emergency services attended an incident on B2110 High Street near Balcombe on Thursday morning.
Reports emerged of a vehicle that had overturned between Handcross Road and Crawley Lane, causing significant traffic delays and a full road closure in both directions.
The AA initially logged the incident on its traffic monitoring system, noting queuing traffic in the area.
Sussex Police confirmed officers were called to the scene following reports of a car on its side in High Street, Balcombe, at approximately 7.15am on 3 September.
No other vehicles were reported to have been involved in the incident.
The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries during the collision.
By early afternoon, the road had been cleared and normal traffic flow resumed.
The AA updated its reports to indicate no further disruption on the route.
