A scale model of a historic lifeboat has been presented to a coastal rescue station as a tribute to its previous owner.
The replica of the MTC vessel was presented to the Hastings RNLI station by Bob Cakebread on behalf of Valerie Cakebread, whose late husband Bill was previously associated with the craft.
Paul Freathy, who serves as chairman of the local lifeboat management group, accepted the donation on behalf of the organisation.
Freathy expressed his gratitude for being entrusted with the model and noted that the givers were pleased the replica had found its way back to the Hastings station.
The model is set to be incorporated into the station’s display collection and will be showcased for public viewing at the shop located within the historic town lifeboat premises.
