Sussex comedian Romesh Ranganathan and actor Sebastian Croft were crowned winners of The Celebrity Trautors after surviving the final as faithfuls and prevailing over the traitors and other contestants.
The victory followed the group’s decision to remove television presenter Maya Jama as the last remaining traitor.
Social media personality King Kenny subsequently turned against his fellow traitor, helping determine Jama’s fate.
Croft, known for appearing in Heartstopper, said he had remained faithful from the beginning until the conclusion of the game.
Ranganathan made the same claim, addressing Croft as Bash.
The pair celebrated by cheering, embracing and exclaiming in astonishment once their win became clear.
Croft described the experience as incredible and said it might be the happiest day of his life.
Ranganathan said he hoped his mother and youngest son, Charlie, were proud of him.
Charlie had wanted his father to appear on the programme and sent a message telling him to show respect for the victory.
The final started with a unanimous vote to banish former Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
Ranganathan then identified singer James Blunt as a suspected traitor.
Although Blunt maintained that this judgement was completely mistaken, Kenny ended the game rather than allowing another banishment.
With the vote divided, Ranganathan and Croft were required to settle the deadlock and chose to remove Kenny.
Another opportunity to banish a contestant followed.
Blunt opted to continue, even though Ranganathan had voiced doubts about his suspicions following a discussion with Croft.
Ranganathan and Croft then voted to remove Blunt, who subsequently said Ranganathan’s actions had left him with an unanswered doubt.
Before casting his ballot, Croft said he believed both remaining players were faithful.
He expressed regret at having to make the decision, apologised to Blunt and explained that, having given his word, he had no option but to vote against him.
Each winner committed to donating their ÂŁ41,500 portion of the prize money to charity.
Croft selected Choose Love, where he had previously volunteered.
He said the donation would assist refugees and displaced people, with a particular focus on queer refugees and displaced people, and described the organisation as the best of its kind.
Ranganathan chose the Refugee Council.
He said he had taken part in the programme in support of the charity’s work helping displaced people and that the cause was very close to his heart.
He expressed considerable gratitude for the experience.
The Celebrity Traitors was presented by Claudia Winkleman and produced at Ardross Castle in the Highlands.
Its format brought together 21 celebrity contestants in a competition for a charity prize worth as much as ÂŁ100,000.
The faithfuls were required to uncover concealed traitors, who secretly eliminated contestants each night.
