The A285 south of Duncton in West Sussex is closed in both directions following a “traffic incident.”

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they are at the scene.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the road is likely to be closed “for some time” due to the incident.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “We are currently in attendance at a road traffic incident on the A285 south of Duncton.

“The road is closed on both lanes and is likely to remain closed for some time. Please avoid the area.”

AA are reporting that the closure has been caused by a crash.

They said the crash was first reported at 1.40pm.
