A vehicle fire at a popular beauty spot is being treated as arson.
A car became engulfed in flames in a car park near Devil’s Dyke, just north of Brighton, on April 5.
A passer-by captured dramatic images and video footage of the raging blaze at around 5.45pm on Easter Sunday.
The vehicle involved in the fire appeared to a red Mazda MX5.
The passer-by who took the video said that there didn’t appear to be anyone in the vehicle.

They said: “Nobody was in the car, and I didn’t see anyone with injuries.
“The wind was strong so the fire grew intense quickly. I wasn’t there to see any emergency services turn up.”
Now, police have confirmed they are treating the incident as arson.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said that multiple lines of enquiry are being conducted as part of an ongoing investigation into the car fire.
Police urged anyone with footage or information relating to the fire to contact them.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police were called to Devil’s Dyke Road, Poynings, on Sunday, April 5, at around 6pm, following a report of a vehicle fire.
“No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made at this time.
“Officers are treating the incident as arson and are conducting multiple lines of enquiry in an ongoing investigation.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has relevant information such as CCTV, mobile or dashcam footage is asked to report it to us online or by calling 101 quoting serial 847 of 05/04.
