A supermarket giant has announced plans to build a second store in a Sussex city.
Aldi has revealed its proposals for the new store in Chichester, located on Terminus Road.
The proposed development would deliver more than £7 million of investment and create approximately 40 jobs.
Matthias Daly, real estate director at Aldi UK, said: “Chichester has proved to be a strong location for Aldi, and we’re keen to build on that success.
“This proposal represents a significant investment in the city, bringing around 40 new local jobs and supporting wider employment through construction and the supply chain.
“We want to hear directly from residents as we refine our plans.”
A public consultation on the project opened on April 13 and will run until April 27, with feedback used to shape a formal planning application before it is submitted to Chichester District Council.
The supermarket chain already operates a site on Barnfield Drive, which will remain open.

Aldi said the new store would feature electric vehicle charging points, free customer parking and energy-efficient systems.
The retail giant operates more than 1,020 UK stores and is working towards a long-term plan for 1,500 sites nationwide.
It previously asked the public to suggest locations for new stores in May last year.
