Condor launches its first-ever UK route from Gatwick Airport

Condor has launched its new three-daily route to Frankfurt starting yesterday (Wednesday, April 1).

All flights are from London Gatwick’s North Terminal and offer morning, afternoon, and evening flights, allowing for same-day returns and convenient travel planning.

It is designed to cater to both business and leisure passengers, offering options for weekend getaways as well as business trips.

The newly launched route also offers passengers access to onward destinations via Frankfurt, one of Europe’s busiest international hubs.

Jonny Macneal, head of aviation development at London Gatwick, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Condor to London Gatwick, offering passengers even greater choice with this new, frequent service to Frankfurt.

“Whether travelling for work, leisure or to see loved ones, the route provides fantastic flexibility and connectivity.

“Condor’s arrival marks yet another exciting landmark in what has been a period of significant growth for the airport.”

David Carlisle, vice president of network planning and partnerships at Condor, added: “Today’s inaugural flight to London Gatwick marks another important milestone in the expansion of our European route network.

“London is one of Europe’s most sought-after destinations, both for business travellers and short city breaks.

“We are delighted to offer our guests up to three daily frequencies, providing maximum flexibility as well as convenient access to our long-haul network to Africa and Asia.”

Other new airlines to come to Gatwick

Condor’s arrival follows the recent launches of Jet2, Air France, Eurowings, and Animawings at Gatwick.

Other airlines, including AirAsia X, Air Arabia, Beijing Capital, and Pegasus, are set to begin operations soon.

The launch of Jet2 at Gatwick was the airport’s largest airline launch in more than a decade.
